Insights from Gro Health pilot featured in World Economic Forum Report
DDM featured in the World Economic Forum’s latest report on workplace wellbeing, alongside our esteemed partners Swiss Re.
The insight report, entitled "Thriving Workplaces: How Employers can Improve Productivity and Change Lives" created in collaboration with the McKinsey Health Institute, examines the pressing need for organisations to invest in workforce wellbeing, while also exploring the substantial economic benefits that such investments can generate.
The report highlights a significant opportunity: investments in workforce wellbeing could unlock up to $11.7 trillion in global economic value.
Our Gro Health platform is detailed as a case study; playing a pivotal role in a pioneering pilot program, aimed at optimising the metabolic health of Swiss Re’s 1,100 employees in the UK.
The program began with a comprehensive survey designed to assess the employees’ risk factors for metabolic ill-health, which is the leading cause of several chronic conditions, including cardiovascular disease, diabetes, and musculoskeletal disorders.
This initiative has demonstrated promising interim results, providing valuable insights into the potential long-term benefits of workforce wellbeing programs.
Impressive early results include:
- 6% average body weight loss for high-risk participants
- 20% improvement in blood fat profile
- 50% improvement in overall wellbeing, encompassing sleep quality, diet, and mental health
These outcomes clearly demonstrate the efficacy of integrated wellbeing interventions in addressing the root causes of chronic diseases and improving overall employee health.
With the full outcomes of the Gro Health pilot program expected in May 2025, we eagerly await further insights that will help refine and expand this model.
Our commitment to workforce wellbeing remains at the core of our mission and we are continuously working to enhance the Gro Health platform to meet the evolving needs of businesses and employees alike.
