G-Cloud 11 approval makes procuring Low Carb Program easier for public sector bodies

Diabetes Digital Media has been approved to supply the award-winning Low Carb Program on the G-Cloud 11 framework. The announcement means that purchasing the Low Carb Program will be easier for public sector bodies and for decision makers within the government to offer scalable type 2 diabetes remission.

The G-Cloud 11 framework is an agreement between the government and information technology services that use cloud computing. G-Cloud 11 supports central government, local authorities, education and blue light services to augment the way they deliver their services to the public. The Low Carb Program is a 12-week evidence-based structured behavioural change programme that supports people with type 2 diabetes and prediabetes to achieve remission. One-year outcomes published in the peer-reviewed JMIR in 2018 revealed that one in four Low Carb Program users achieved remission from type 2 diabetes.

Charlotte Summers, Chief Operations Officer at DDM, said:

“We are excited to have the people, skills, knowledge, technologies, infrastructure and partnerships to offer public sector organisations a scalable, effective and engaging solution for type 2 diabetes and prediabetes remission.”

The Low Carb Program has also been clinically proven to reduce HbA1c levels, improve glycemic control, facilitate weight loss and reduce medications.
