Doing our bit: COVID-19 Education Series and Digital Classes Library released to support patients remotely

Times are unprecedented and there has recently been a significant spike in the demand for digital services as patients look for remote support as they begin to follow social distancing protocols.

As a provider of NHS services to patients with type 2 diabetes, prediabetes and obesity, we have seen a 300% week-on-week increase in service demand. Here at home and in other countries, patients increasingly want to know what they can do to look after themselves, their mental health, and keep active at home.

To that end, launched a new COVID-19 Support Series in the Low Carb Program platform alongside a new range of Digital Classes, providing patients with:

  • Guided at-home workouts tailored to fitness level
  • Guided mindfulness and meditation activities to support mental wellbeing whilst practising social distancing and self-isolation
  • Guided yoga workouts to support mental wellbeing at-home

Classes are led by expert coaches and tailored to your fitness level. The response has been overwhelming. Over 11,600 people started a class today, and we expect that to see even more people tomorrow. We are proud to support the efforts of our amazing NHS, even in the most minute way. We have information you can watch, download and/or email to your patients to support them from a distance in keeping active, eating right and managing their mental wellbeing.

This service is being deployed to partners across the UK. If you'd like to access the resource, please get in touch.
